Annie Sprinkle Debuts Performance Art Show In San Francisco

San Francisco--Sex goddess Annie Sprinkle and her life partner Elizabeth Stephens have put together a new "multi-media performance-art-theater extravaganza" which debuts this weekend at the CounterPULSE art space in San Francisco.

Exposed: Experiments in Love, Sex, Death and Art is described by Sprinkle as "a unique love story, a genuine celebration of the deepest realms of romantic, sexual and familial love, in order to bring about positive social change."

The show "explores lesbian courtship, artificial insemination, queer weddings, breast cancer, art experiments and communion with community." Sprinkle added that the piece is "an artistic response to the violence of war and the anti-gay marriage movement."

Annie Sprinkle has been described as a post-modern sex goddess and, for the past thirty years, has been a porn star, sex educator, writer, actress and performance artist.

Exposed is scheduled for four performances this Friday through Sunday at CounterPULSE located at 1310 Mission St. in San Francisco.
